Punta Prima: The most northerly of the Orihuela Costa resorts, Punta Prima is a lovely little seaside town situated just south of the better known Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca, Spain.
With a good range of facilites and some nice beach areas, Punta Prima is an up and coming resort for the area. With a large number of new commercials being developed and the massive Punta Marina complex being built Punta Prima will surely become even more popular.
Punta Prima is probably best known in the area for being the location of 3 rival car-boot sales all held on Sundays, and this is always a good location for a bit of bargain hunting. These are held around the area of the old water tower, one of Punta Prima's best known landmarks.
Also nearby is the go-cart track, a popular spot for young and old alike, with mini-quads and carts up to pretty powerful fully fledged go-carts.

If you are looking for hotel accommodation in Punta Prima you will most probably head for the Torrejoven Hotel, right beside the roundabout on the main N-332 coastal road, you can book the Torrejoven Hotel at good rates by utilising the 'Check In' box on the right.
Other nearby hotels include the La Zenia Hotel, located a little further south, and right beside the beach at La Zenia. There are also plenty of hotels in Torrevieja.
Further down the road you will find the beaches and the Nautilus restaurant, a pleasant place to enjoy a meal whilst looking out at the clear blue Mediterranean Sea.
Golfing enthusiasts will find that Punta Prima is a great location for a holiday as there are 3 excellent golf course nearby at Villamartin, Campoamor and las Ramblas, these can all be reached by car in about 10 minutes.
Those with shopping in mind will probably want to head into Torrevieja, don't forget to visit the Habaneras shopping centre and the Carrefour hypermarket. If the market is more your thing then, again, Torrevieja is the place to go, as the huge Friday market is the biggest in the area.
A little less frantic but with plenty on offer is the nearby Playa Flamenca market, this time on Saturdays and well worth a visit.
Punta Prima boasts a fine temperate climate with plenty of sunny days to enjoy, it is located on the N-332 coastal road just south of Torrevieja and can also be accessed from the AP-7 Motorway (Salinas or La Zenia exits). It is about 40 minutes drive from Alicante airport and 25 minutes from Murcia airport.
